VACANCY: Watch and Clock Technician
We are looking for a highly motivated watch and/or clock repair technician to join our team at S. Demanuele Watch and Clock Repair in Valletta, Malta.
Key areas of responsibility include carrying out services and repairs as necessary on quartz and mechanical watches and/or clocks and testing the timepieces for accuracy and performance.
The technician will be responsible for
- Performing detailed inspections of the timepieces
- Complete disassembly of movements
- Partially or fully servicing and overhauling the movements as necessary
- Timing and regulation of movements
- Ultrasonic cleaning of watch cases and bracelets
- Replacement of seals, crowns, pushers, batteries, and additional parts as required
- Assembling the movements and testing according to brand specific tolerances/instructions
- Condensation treatment and pressure testing
- Maintaining the workshop tools and equipment
The ideal candidate should:
- Have a minimum of 2 years experience in watch and/or clock repair or WOSTEP Certification
- Be proficient in written and spoken English
- Be proficient in fault finding
- Have strong attention to detail
- Have good organisational skills
- Be able to work on different watch and clock brands
- Be a good communicator with team interaction
- Have a drive for excellence and strive to improve
